It is rare to have one ground-breaking discovery that  can revolutionize a research field, let alone two at a young age!

Kudos to Professor Feng Zhang at MIT for his seminal work in 1) optogenetics which has revolutionized neuroscience and 2) CRISPR which is profoundly changing the landscape of gene editing and molecular biology.
